Story[edit | edit source]

Past events[edit | edit source]

Prior to the events of INFRA, the Bergmann Group was constructing a cistern. The Stalburg Bank began to lobby against the project despite how close to it was to completion, arguing that it posed a security risk to the bank. On the verge of bankruptcy, the Bergmann Group had to abandon the project, leaving their work lights, vehicles and other equipment behind. Following the cancellation of the project and total bankruptcy of the Bergmann group, one worker was driven to alcoholism and committed suicide in the unfinished cistern, the body is nowhere to be seen.

INFRA[edit | edit source]

Mark passes through here from the ventilation shafts in his attempt to reach the surface. He utilizes the maintenance lift to access the top of the catwalk to open an outflow gate, then rapidly descends back down before it closes. Ascending once more via the pipes to the top of the cistern, Mark finds a path leading to service tunnels of a nearby powerstation.

Locations[edit | edit source]

Cistern[edit | edit source]

A halted construction project by the Bergmann group. Excess water from the stormdrain would have led through outflow gates to be stored here. Most of the equipment was left behind by the workers, and the scaffolding is still up. The cistern itself showed signs of faulty construction, concrete damage being present in several places, as well as asbestos being used in the construction.

Blocked Maintenance Tunnel[edit | edit source]

An dead-end area behind a locked door near the end of the map, the key to this door is located in a can at the top of the cistern near a makeshift bed. Behind the door is a cracked barricade that exposes a strange Mörkö mask covered in fleshy tendrils. This mask emits a sound that is related to the ARG. This area was added on November 11th, 2019 in the German translation update.
