In Obenseuer, time spans over 7 days of the week and progresses 15 times faster than real life (4 minutes = 60 in-game minutes), unlike INFRA where time progresses at the same rate as real life.

Many schedules and crafting processes are time-dependent, like shop vendors' opening hours, time spent on alcohol brewing, locations where specific characters can be found, delivery of the mail, serving jail time and lootable storages resupplying. As time progresses, weather and visual time of the day changes.

Checking the time[edit | edit source]

Player can ask various characters for the time and the day of the week, if it is a full hour, the NPCs will not state what the day of the week it is.

Player can find, craft or buy wrist watches that once present inside player's inventory, will display both time, in 24-hour format, and the day in the top right corner of the screen. Player can also find various wall watches around different locations or craft or buy a Stolland Clock to hang in their own apartment.

Player can also find an Alarm Clock that has all the same functionality as regular wrist watches, but also allows to set the duration of sleep.

When being taken to jail, player is able to ask the jail guard about the remaining time of the jail sentence.

Passing the time[edit | edit source]

Nighttime in Residential district zone

There are several ways of progressing the time faster by performing specific activities, the most straightforward is sleeping that can be enforced using Sleeping Pills at a cost of mental health. Alternatively player can pass out from alcohol overuse to force sleeping.

Player can also start a Telemarketing Job between 06:00 and 12:00 to pass 8 hours at a cost of mental health and increased tiredness. Player can also volunteer at Redemption Militia to pass 6 hours any time.

Player can also buy one of the TVs to put inside Player's Tenement to pass 4 hours.

Time can be also passed when being taken to jail and when spending time in jail. There, besides sleeping, player can use a Hand Console or read Osmo Olut Magazine to pass 2 hours or scratch wall or talk with Colton to pass 4 hours.
