UGU is the nickname for a statue located in a hidden cave in stormdrain. The name is based off of the achievement for discovering it, and is present on the Bunker computer code.
It is unknown how and why UGU exists in the game.
Summary
The statue is alien-looking, and portrays a blob-like figure with a single row of spiked teeth, a single exposed eye, and horns. The area surrounding it is covered by blue mushrooms and some other blue flora hanging from the ceiling. Among the many blue mushrooms is a red book that is present in ARG-related locations.[1] The statue emits a strange ambient sound with an audible voice.
No notes exist to explain the presence of the statue in such an obscure location, however, in the later map Powerstation2, notes can be found in the mushroom infested mine that document two people were hired by someone to look for a statue in the mines. The distance from this statue and the mine may insinuate that there are more statues like it similar in size and proximity to mushrooms.
One of the wasteland notes also reads:
