Macrosoftware is a multi-billion dollar software company that developed the famous family of Viewports Operating Systems, such as Viewports 8, Viewports 8 Professional, Viewports 10 and Viewports 14. Their system software is used commonly throughout Stalburg, including various power plants. However, the operating system is notorious for locking out the computer it was installed on and consequently shutting down critical systems whenever there is a pending update. This oversight once disabled the main control panel of a Coal-Fired Power Plant during an emergency situation and fire hazard.

Trivia
- Originally the company was called Macrosoft. A likely reason as to why it was changed was to make the name sound less similar to the real-world Microsoft company.
