Construction history

In 2008, Stalburg Industry Power began an expansion of the nuclear power plant to the Black Rock 3 with EPR-type reactor that the Arivá Construction is seen building. The construction was scheduled to be completed in 2012, however several major setbacks occured since, in the 2016, a new expected date of completion was announced to spring of 2018.

In January 2017, the Stalburg City Council had approved plan for construction of Stalburg Skytree project, a mixed-use 50-story skyscraper with three smaller buildings that the Arivá Construction is set to built. The construction is located on a former industrial plot in Business district, north of the railway station and is scheduled to begin in February of the same year.

Trivia

  • It is possible that Arivá Construction is based on French nuclear power company Areva NP, who had a similar colors and logo design and who in real life was the main contractor for construction of Olkiluoto 3 reactor, the inspiration that the Black Rock 3 reactor is based on, that faced similar construction issues.
