The Gifu U360 is a 6x4 rigid truck equipped an V8 engine and a roll-off kit allowing the truck to carry shipping containers and dumpster containers. Model U360 is commonly used by Pinestream Recycling company all over the Stalburg, including the disposal of grit from Pitheath Water Treatment Plant. A rusted Gifu truck is also found in the Cistern where it was abandoned after bankrupcy of the Bergmann Group in the 1980, it is unknown whether it is meant to be the same production model as the U360 or a predecessor model, as it lacks any identification.

The Gifu Armytruck is a 4x4 truck fitten with a cargo platform covered by a tarp, that is in active use by the military, seen around the Obenseuer (district) border checkpoint.

Trivia

A pack of Sisu candies with a distinct font, making it look like "Gifu"
  • Gifu is based on a Finnish truck manufacturer Sisu, with the U360 combining various design aspects from modern commercial Sisu trucks, most likely including the E-series and C600 truck, and the Armytruck being inspired by military Sisu A-45 truck.
  • The fictional name itself comes from a separate Sisu candy brand, whose logo font "𝔖𝔦𝔣𝔲" ressembles the spelling of "Gifu".
  • Gifu trucks also appear in My Summer Car, another Finnish indie game, featuring an 1978 Gifu 405 T model in a Vaccum and Box variants based on a real Sisu M-162 truck. Despite the brand's presence in both games, its inclusion by both developers was purely coincidental and in both cases it was a play on the same joke.
  • Gifu logo uses the same font as the original Loiste Interactive logo.
