The Protest at the Metro Station

Stalburg Mass Transit (SMT) is the organization responsible for operating and maintaining metro, regional trains and trams in Stalburg Region, including primarily the cities of Stalburg, Tarfell and other neighbouring municipalities. Sometimes prior to 2026, it also started to operate the buses.

The organization has quite a big role in the corruption of Stalburg, as they are partially responsible for the cover-up of the Metro Accident.

They are known for bad working conditions, dangerous tunnels and most of all, ignoring protests.

When Mark visits the Pitheath Metro Station, a lot of protesters can be seen on the outside of the station. This is not the first time there has been a protest.

Operations

Metro Lines

SMT runs four metro lines, these are:

The City Loop
A loop line around central Stalburg from the central railway station.
The Coastal Line
This line runs from Fisch River Railway Station along the coast and through the city to Stalburg International Airport.
The Ampstand Line
This line runs from Ampstand through central Stalburg to Stalburg International Airport.
The East Port Line
This line runs services from Whiprock to Obenseuer through central Stalburg.

Trams

They also run tram services through the city center.

Buses

The full extent of the SMT bus network isn't known but a repurposed SMT-branded bus can be found in open sewer.

Regional Trains

Along with the metro operations, the SMT also runs regional train services within the Stalburg Region.
