SOSSU is a social security office in Obenseuer, responsible for distributing the social welfare, unemployment benefits and assigning apartments within the district. The headquarter is located in the Central district zone, next to the Obenseuer train and metro station.
In 2017, in response to an opening quarantine zone in Obenseuer, David Lund raised a concern regarding it affecting his SOSSU subsidies.
In 2026, due to housing shortage in Obenseuer, queues for new apartments are long enough that they force people to live for months in cheap hotels or on the streets.
