Prior to the events of INFRA, Mikhail Rosenthal allowed Jeff Walter to stay in his mansion to find a way to expose S.N.W. At some point, he meets [[Max Koller]], the police officer in charge of investigation on Walter's disappearance, who agrees to help Walter and conducts two interviews on December 18th and December 19th, 1986. During their second interview however, they're interrupted by a vengeful Alex Hartman and Eric Kleinnmann. Walter tries to reason with them, and gave the location of Xeander Berg to Kleinmann, who immediately leaves for [[isle2|Castle Rock Island]] to search for him. Hartman however, threatens Walter and shoots Koller when he attempts to disarm him. What happens next is unclear, but Hartman seemed willing to listen to Walter for a moment, who tried to "show you something", but either committed suicide, or forced Hartman to shoot him. Out of shock, Hartman stops the recording and isn't heard from again. | ==Past events==

If Mark decides to investigate what happened in the villa, he'll question why the bodies are mysteriously absent, and discover that Jeff Walter tried to get a gun from a secret cabinet beneath a bookshelf. After locating the keys to the smaller buildings outside the villa, Mark activates a pump to drain the crawlspace and to locate a boat in the nearby barn.
