The Player's Tenement is a six-story apartment complex that is assigned to the player at the beginning of the game. The tenement serves as the location where the player can rent apartments to the people of Obenseuer, and a place where the player can establish manufacturing and machinery to generate revenue. The apartment on the first floor serves as the player's own apartment, which can be fully customized to the player's discretion.
Locating the Tenement
- The Player's Tenement is located on the Eastern-most part of the map, across the small canal, and at the top of a small mound accessible via two separate staircases or the small dirt pathway.
- As of the current version of the game, the only way to access the tenement is by crossing the Toll Bridge or the Container Bridge.
- Initially, the facade of the tenement will have wired fences surrounding the perimeter with biohazard signs and littered with hazardous waste.
Upgrading the Tenement
- In order to begin upgrading the tenement, the player must first progress through the quest Getting Started, and after speaking to Malone Petronis and Samuel Jonasson.
- After gaining access to the Tenement Upgrade GUI, the player will then need to inspect the apartment they wish to upgrade and clean all of the debris and waste, sometimes requiring Disinfectant, Sanitizer, or Bleach.
- To upgrade a part of the tenement, the player must first acquire the following resources that the upgrade calls for. For all upgrades, the player will need the following:
- First Payment (OC)
- Materials
- Final Payment (RM)
- Once all of the criteria are met for an upgrade, the player can speak to Samuel and prompt, "I need a renovation.", which will open up the Tenement Upgrade GUI.
- The player can then click on an upgrade, and if all of the required resources are acquired, the upgrade will begin and will take time to finish.
- Once the upgrade is finished, a final payment will need to be made to fully install the upgrade.
