The Machine

The Machine is an unknown entity referred to only by the name "The Machine". It is apparently tied to Mörkö, or may even be it. It is apparently a kind of "underground god". The Machine was created by Andrew Herts. This information came from a cave, hidden behind some trees and bushes behind the Pine Fell Water Plant in tunnel2.

In Bunker, there is a computer with a code, and that code when decoded produces part of the text "Homeless People (made the) machine". However, we see here that Andrew Herts made the machine. So the only logical explanation would be that the machine was made of homeless people. This could coincide with the mushrooms/blue mushrooms (aka "ugu shrooms"), possibly mutating the said people and assimilating them into The Machine.

From the bunker computer: "UGU is the underground world god. Masked man in the tunnel guards the knowledge. Raven Research Institute is the lead organization. Inventor is Andrew Herts, homeless people made up The Machine."
