Sauna
Sauna is a room that when used, has a positive impact on the player character.
Some apartments have built in saunas, Player's Tenement has an adjecent sauna at a canal pier and player is able to contract a renovation of one of the basement rooms into a sauna. Basement sauna is also a requirement of few potential residents.
Usage
Sauna works by heating up stones above water boiling point and generate steam. Sauna can have a solid fuel stove, powered by burnables like firewood, or an electric stove, powered by apartment's electricity. A thermometer found in the sauna room is showing a temperature in the stove, indicating how hot the stones are to produce steam. Player can pour water onto the stove stones to generate steam when the thermometer shows over 60°C, with steam filling the room, player will start experiencing its effects.
A sauna may have a nearby shower to cool down between sessions.
Effects
Sauna sessions will improve mental health, help reducing addictions and fungal disease. On the downside, thirst begins to increase drastically and player may overheat, which in result starts burning them, draining down physical health. Sauna effects begin once sauna is filled with steam, pouring more water to create more steam will increase effectiveness of the effects, both positive and negative ones.
Renovation of tenement saunas
Within tenement, there are two saunas that can be renovated, the canal sauna being a separate building and an indoor sauna located in the basement. In the current version, the Makeshift level of canal sauna is already built, allowing player to use it right away. The basement sauna requires first a Makeshift basement upgrade done, while higher levels of the sauna require also Shit tenement electricity. Some potential residents like Olle Leino, Jarmo Pettinen, Vivi Bondar and Kirka Kääbus will require a specific level of basement sauna to be rented an apartment to.
