Animal Breeding
In Obenseuer, the Player can breed several animals. In the current version, Rats, Glowing Rats, Sewer Fish, Glowing Sewer Fish, Cats, and Chickens can be farmed and slaughtered for varying products, primarily being meat.
Rat farming[edit | edit source]
How to Farm[edit | edit source]
To start a Rat farm, the Player needs Rat Cages, these come in four different sizes - tiny, small, medium and large - that define how many rats can fit inside at the same time. The Player can build these with their specific blueprints, or buy them at Möbelmann Furnitures to place inside the Player's Tenement. Some can also be found owned by NPCs in several locations.
The Player can find their first rats to kickstart their farm through searching the trash, catching loose rats, or buying them from the Cheap Rats for Sale vending machine located in Deekula C and the Trade Road Metro Station.
To start breeding rats, the Player must first put down a cage with three or more "planting" slots (The brown squares located under the furniture's storage slots). Once the cage is placed, the Player must then put a pair of either standard or glowing rats within the storage slots of the cage. Note: Standard Rats and Glowing Rats can not reproduce together, but can share the cage. Once the rats are placed in the storage slots a crafting option will appear to "plant" the rats. Once both rats are planted, additional rats will start to slowly fill up the remaining planting slots and slowly grow into new rats which can be taken out of the cage by clicking on their slot.
Products[edit | edit source]
When grown, all animals can be 'Slaughtered' by using said animal in the inventory. This kills the animal and gives the Player certain items.
- Rats:
- 1x Rat Meat
- Glowing Rats:
- 1x Glowing Rat Meat
Fish farming[edit | edit source]
To start a fish farm player needs an Aquarium, it can be found in various locations owned by NPCs, crafted from found blueprints or bought at Möbelmann Furnitures to place it inside Player's Tenement.
Player also needs Fish Eggs to start, they can be rarely found in fridges from looting or found to buy at One Stop Shop. They can also be gathered from existing aquariums, one is found at hacker's den at Deekula B7. Glowing Fish Eggs are very rare and can be only found in fridges.
To start breeding, player has to put Fish Eggs into the aquarium's storage and plant them, it will spawn one Sewer Fish that will start to grow. Grown fish can be kept in the aquarium for preservation or be gathered, yielding a dead fish and few eggs to plant more fish.
Cat farming[edit | edit source]
How to Farm[edit | edit source]
To start a Cat farm, the Player needs Cat Cages, these come in three different sizes - small, medium and large - that define how many cats can fit inside at the same time. The Player can build these with their specific blueprints, or buy them at Möbelmann Furnitures to place inside the Player's Tenement.
The Player can find their first cats to kickstart their farm by catching stray cats or buying them from the Vendor Emma-Maija Taylor located in Tenement A, apartment A7. Despite each cat costing 102 RM to buy at this vendor, she will only pay 8 OC for each cat sold.
To start breeding cats, the Player must first put down a cage with three or more "planting" slots (The brown squares located under the furniture's storage slots). Once the cage is placed, the Player must then put a pair of any breed of cats within the storage slots of the cage. Note: Multiple different cat breeds (Differentiated by color) will breed if put in the same cage and randomly produce cats of either color. Once the cats are placed in the storage slots a crafting option will appear to "plant" the cats. Once both cats are planted, additional cats will start to slowly fill up the remaining planting slots and slowly grow into new cats which can be taken out of the cage by clicking on their slot.

Chicken farming[edit | edit source]
How to Farm[edit | edit source]
To start a Chicken farm, the Player needs Chicken Coops, these come in two different sizes - small and large - that define how many chickens can fit inside at the same time. The Player can build these with their specific blueprints, or buy them at Möbelmann Furnitures to place inside the Player's Tenement.
The player's first Chicken(s) can be found within Deekula C Apartment C5. The apartment is only covered by a tarp door and the Chick can be found wandering inside. Due to how chick growing works, after a while this chick will turn into a standard chicken.
Uniquely among farmable animals, Chicken offspring first starts off as a Fertilized Egg, which hatches into a Chick, which then grows into a Chicken. This growth occurs even if these items are not inside the coop.
All three of these can be placed into the coop, however only Chickens will lay eggs while inside the coop. Uniquely, chickens are capable of laying fertilized eggs even without another chicken present.
