In Obenseuer to move around the mines, player can utilise the Minitrains.
Overview
Minitrains are a narrow-gauge[1] service locomotives powered by diesel. Player can operate a minitrain to move themselves easier around the mines or hook up various minecarts to move resources with them, such as rocks and ores.
The amount of attached carts determines the acceleration rate of the minitrain and its breaking distance. Player can increase the performance in this regard by connecting multiple minitrains together. If the speed of the minitrain is too high, a direct collision with a train-stopper or an another minitrain present on the tracks will result in very severe physical trauma to the player.
To operate, the minitrains need to be filled up with diesel, that can be bought from Hardware Stall, found around the world while looting or obtained at the fuel stations in the mines. Player has to insert the diesel into a fuel filler on the right side of the minitrain, marked with a red cap.
To start up the minitrain, player interacts
with its control panel. Player can now accelerate the minitrain forwards and backwards, pull a break or stop operating the controls.Player can also interact with the minitrain's front and rear couplers, engaging it ready to couple or disabling it entirely. If the coupler is engaged, player moving the locomotive slowly towards a wagon will automatically hook it together. If two minitrains are next to each other with their couplers touching, player can manually hook together the carts or disengage them.
Minitrain types
Minitrain LocomotiveA standard minitrain locomotive with ability to hook up wagons. Moving forwards it is able to achieve a speed of 40 km/h, while moving backwards achieves a speed of 30 km/h. |
Tipping WagonA minecart with a loading capacity of 24 item slots, capable of carrying various rocks and ores. Thanks to its open top, it can mass-load ores from the chutes and with its tipping bucket, it can mass-unload the ores into the crushers. |
Passanger WagonA wagon with usable seats, currently serves no practical uses to the player. |
Cargo WagonA wagon with an open flatbed, currently serves no practical uses to the player. |
