Minitrains
In Obenseuer, to navigate around the mines and pull railcars, the player can utilise the Minitrains.
Overview
Minitrains are narrow-gauge (3 ft 4 in or 1,016 m) service trains powered by Diesel fuel. The player can operate a minitrain to move themselves easier around the mines or hook up various wagons to move resources with them, such as rocks and ores.
The amount of attached cars determines the acceleration rate of the minitrain and its breaking distance. The player can increase the performance in this regard by connecting multiple minitrains together. If the speed of the minitrain is too high, a direct collision with a train-stopper or an another minitrain present on the tracks will result in potentially severe physical trauma to the player.
To operate, the minitrains need to be filled up with diesel that can be bought from the Hardware Stall, found around the world while looting, or obtained at the fuel stations in the mines. The player has to insert the filling nozzle into a fuel filler port on the right side of the minitrain, marked with a red cap.
To start up the minitrain, the player interacts with its control panel via . Player can now accelerate the minitrain forwards and backwards, pull a break or stop operating the controls.
The player can also interact with the minitrain's front and rear couplers, engaging it ready to couple or disabling it entirely. If the coupler is engaged, player moving the locomotive slowly towards a wagon will automatically hook it together. If two minitrains are next to each other with their couplers touching, the player can manually hook together the carts or disengage them.
