This page contains information about upcoming content from version 0.3.39 - Mines Update, which may be incorrect in relation with current public release of the Obenseuer game.

‎ In Obenseuer player can breed several animals, in the current version - Rats, Glowing Rats, Sewer Fish, Glowing Sewer Fish, Cats and Chickens. Those farmed animals are primarily a source of meat, respectively for their type.

Rat farming[edit | edit source]

To start a rat farm player needs Rat Cages, these come in four different sizes - tiny, small, medium and large - that defines how many rats can breed at the same time. Player can find those cages in various locations owned by NPCs, can craft them from found blueprints or buy them at Möbelmann Furnitures to place them inside Player's Tenement.

Player can find the first rats to start a farm commonly in dumpsters or catch them running loose in the buildings, they can also buy them easily at Cheap Rats for sale vending machine in Deekula C and Trade Road Metro Station.

To start breeding, player has to put at least two rats of the same type, either both regular or both glowing, inside the cage's storage and plant them. Over time the rats will spawn an offspring that will begin to grow, once fully grown, will be possible to gather. Player can keep grown rats in the cage for them to breed more, any pair of adult rats will produce an offspring. Regular and glowing rats cannot breed with each other, however they can breed together in the same cage if they got a pair of their own kind.

Grown rats can be turned into a Rat Meat, which in turn can be processed into Minced Meat or a Rat Steak to be turned into Sausage, both using a Grinder.

Fish farming[edit | edit source]

To start a fish farm player needs an Aquarium, it can be found in various locations owned by NPCs, crafted from found blueprints or bought at Möbelmann Furnitures to place it inside Player's Tenement.

Player also needs Fish Eggs to start, they can be rarely found in fridges from looting or found to buy at One Stop Shop. They can also be gathered from existing aquariums, one is found at hacker's den at Deekula B7. Glowing Fish Eggs are very rare and can be only found in fridges.

To start breeding, player has to put Fish Eggs into the aquarium's storage and plant them, it will spawn one Sewer Fish that will start to grow. Grown fish can be kept in the aquarium for preservation or be gathered, yielding a dead fish and few eggs to plant more fish.

Cat farming[edit | edit source]

To start a cat farm player needs Cat Cages, these come in three different sizes - small, medium and large - that defines how many cats can breed at the same time. Player can buy them at Möbelmann Furnitures to place them inside Player's Tenement.

Player can find stray cats on the outside, they will run away from the player and will scratch them when caught, causing bleeding. Cats also have a chance to spawn in a little animal shelter in Tenement A, apartment A7, where they can be bought from for 102 RM from Emma-Maija Taylor pet seller. Player's own cat cannot be breed in the current version. When roaming outside a cage, cats will be chasing rats and chicks, trying to eat them.

To start breeding, player has to put at least two cats of any breed inside the cage's storage and plant them. Over time the cats will spawn an offspring that will begin to grow, once fully grown, will be possible to gather. Player can keep grown cats in the cage for them to breed more, any pair of adult cats will produce an offspring.

Grown cats can be turned into a Cat Meat, which in turn can be processed into Minced Meat or a Cat Steak to be turned into Sausage, both using a Grinder.

Chicken farming[edit | edit source]

To start a chicken farm player needs Chicken Coops, these come in two different sizes - small and large - that defines how many chickens can fit at the same time. Player can buy them at Möbelmann Furnitures to place them inside Player's Tenement.

Chickens have their own growth cycle, starting as Fertilized Egg, hatching into a Chick and finally growing into a Chicken, this cycle occurs regardless a chicken is inside a coop or free in the world. In the current version player can find their first chick inside an item sack left by a stranger after player answers a mysterious phone call in Tenement A, apartment A2.

Player can plant chickens into a coop at any of the growth stages, however only fully grown chickens that are placed inside a coop, and only inside a coop, will start laying more eggs, to lay an egg a chicken does not need a pair.

Chicks can be turned into a Mystery Meat, which in turn can be processed into Minced Meat or a Mystery Steak to be turned into Sausage, both using a Grinder. Chickens can be turned into a Chicken Meat, which in turn can be processed into Minced Meat or a Chicken Steak to be turned into Sausage. Fertilized Eggs are interchangeable with regular Eggs and can be used in cooking recipes.
