Facemasks are a piece of utility clothing in Obenseuer.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Facemasks are used to prevent player from inhaling dangerous substances, such as toxic green mushroom spores. Getting in contact with green mushroom spores otherwise causes player to cough and start losing physical health from the prolonged exposure, they are also a risk of contractic the fungal disease.

Facemasks are especially useful when maintaining player's own green mushroom farms or getting in heavily contaminated areas.

Facemasks are equipped to a special wearable inventory slot located above backpack slot.

Single-use Facemask[edit | edit source]

Commonly used facemasks during the pandemic, an 8-pack can be bought at Skeida Pharmacy for 12Real Money. Upon being put on, it will start losing its freshness, and will continue doing so even if taken off.

Upon reaching 0% of freshness, the facemask will be dirty and will decrease player's own hygiene when still worn. Facemask with 0% of freshness still provides protection.

Facemasks at random percentange of freshness tend to be found in other people's belonings and in the trashbins.

A single facemask can be crafted at a Sewing Machine using 2 Cloth Scraps, 1 Thread and 1 Paper, recipe for it can be obtained from Lifehack-Pekka, but it is not required to start the crafting process.

Chemira O-11 Gasmask[edit | edit source]

An industrial-grade gasmask. It can be put on immediately, but to actually work, it has to be equiped G with a fresh Gasmask Filter. As long as the player is wearing the gasmask, the durability of the filter will deteriorate, unlike single-use facemask, taking the gasmask off does stop the deterioration.

Both the Gasmask and the Gasmask Filter can be rarely bought at OS Mining Services for 420Open Sewer Coins and 128Open Sewer Coins, respectively. A gasmask with an already equipped filter is also found at the Nuclear Waste Site, inside the control room.

New filters cannot be crafted.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
