The Safe is a type of storage protected with a rotary combination lock, usually found inside apartments and homes of the wealthier residents of Obenseuer.
Overview
As storage, the safe comes with two rows of space. To open a safe, the Player has to interact with the lock and enter a combination. Once opened, the safe can immediately be interacted again without a need to re-enter the code. Pressing on the rotary combination lock while the safe is open will re-lock it.
All codes are made out of 4 numbers from a range from 1 to 32. To enter a code, the first digit is entered by turning the dial to the right/clockwise until the dial points to the number. Once the dial points to the correct number, turning the dial in the opposite direction will lock that number in. This goes back and forth for each digit in the code until the fourth where - if the correct sequence has been entered - the UI will close and the safe will be unlocked. If the code is incorrect, the numbers will flash red and the Player can make another attempt.
Whenever the dial is turned to a correct digit, the click sound will be of a slightly higher pitch, allowing safes to be cracked without first finding the code.
Safes typically have a hidden code sequence. This is most often found in the form of a code hidden in the environment or on a note, but rarely a safe may simply not have a code and will require the sound method to crack.
Like any other storage, Safes are typically owned and taking any marked items out of them will count as theft if seen. However, a certain few safes are not owned and their items can instead be looted freely.
Safe Cracking
Safes can also be cracked by hearing, instead of looking for the code clues. As Player rotates the dial, each click will make a noise in a certain pitch range, the correct numbers will have their pitch range shifted to be higher than the incorrect numbers.
Due to each click having a range of pitch, correct numbers will sometimes blend in with incorrect numbers, requiring careful analysis of potential correct numbers and checking a sound of the same number multiple times.
On a whole dial, only one click will be the correct number at any time, based on the position in entered code sequence Player currently is at. Even if the previously entered number in the sequence was incorrect, the next number on that specific position that will have higher pitch range will be the correct number, meaning that Player can guess each of the 4 positions in the code independently.
While safe cracking is a viable option, most of the times it takes longer than looking for code clues in the world, additionally Players that have real-life hearing issues or use poor quality headsets may have troubles hearing any differences in pitch of entered numbers.
One strategy is to slowly cycle the dial for each position in the code several times, and write down potential numbers whose pitch was higher on a give rotation, doing it several times narrows it down to determining which is the true correct number. Alternative strategy is cracking at least one number, as a confirmation to what the correct sequence will look like if solved from clues, making it easier to solve more complicated clue puzzles.
Loot
Safes most typically are filled with high amounts of Cash, high value items such as Jewelry or Silver and Gold ingots, or rarely worthless junk.

All atoms need to be counted up together and ordered starting first with carbon, then hydrogen, and then all the remaining atoms in an alphabetical order. The first 4 atoms in the molecular formula are the code to the safe
