The jail is located in the [[Residential]] district zone inside the [[Gatehouse]], underneath a border checkpoint to the [[Bazaar]].

* When the player commits a [[Crimes|crime]], they will gain a wanted status and begin to be chased down by the [[police]].
When player is caught by the Police, they are placed to one of the two cells inside the jail. Player is provided with daily rations to keep them alive.

Player is overviewed by a guard posted in the jail, who can be called with a button inside the cell to ask for remaining sentence time, attempt to bribe them or ask for needed items. If the player calls the guard and says nothing too many times the guard will attack the player.

If the player is arrested, the player will be instantly moved to a jail cell located in the [[Gatehouse]], and placed in to one of the two available jail cells.  


Player's personal items are taken away and put in a storage lockers next to the guard. Owned items the player had on them during imprisonment will be permanently taken away, unless they are placed inside the backpack. After player is released, they are free to take their personal items back from the lockers.

In the cell, to help to pass the time of served sentence, player can sleep, pass 2 hours with a game console or by reading an Osmo Olut magazine and pass 4 hours by scratching the wall or talking with [[Colton]]. Player has to have satisfied thirst, hunger and have a positive mental health to attempt those activities.
* The player will be provided a daily food-ration to prevent starvation and dehydration.
* The player can interact with the jail guard by pressing a call button within the cell.
** The player can ask for the remaining sentence, attempt to bribe the jail guard, or ask for items.
** If the player calls the jail guard too many times, the guard will enter the jail cell and attack the player.
** If the player calls the jail guard from an opposite cell, the guard will attack the player.
* The player can turn on/off the jail guard's TV.
** If the player turns off the TV, they will be attacked.


If player is taken to the second cell of the two, they can talk with Colton living in the cell's hole, passing time or browsing his vendor offer. The player can go between the two cells if they lockpick the vent and lockpick the other vent to access the other cell.

There are few ways to attempt an escape from the jail.


Under beds in both cells there is a small drain, which sometimes may contain Lock Picks, player may also supply it with Lock Picks themselves for the future imprisonment.
* To pass the time, the player can do the following things:
** Sleep on the bed located in the cell.
** Pass 2 hours with a video game console or Osmo Olut magazine.
*** <u>Note</u>: Reading the Osmo Olut magazine will increase the player's alcohol addiction, even if the current addiction level is 0.
** Pass 4 hours by scratching the wall, or talking to [[Colton]] in the right cell.
** <u>Note:</u> In order to do any of these activities, the player must satiate their hunger, thirst, and mental health.


With lockpicks player may attempt to open the cell's door or the vent in the back of the cell. Vent is leading to a larger ventilation shaft that connects to a small cave mine, that if not prepared beforehand, will face player with locked gate.
==Escaping Confinement==
In order to leave the jail, the player must either serve their sentence or escape.


Attempting to open the main cell's door will alert the guard, however the guard takes occasional naps, during which he will be unresponsive to the player. The Guard can still be alerted if player is caught on the camera. Player may disable the fuses next to the desk to disable camera, alarm system and guard's TV, turning off the TV when the guard is not asleep will make him imprison the player again. Player can escape the jail with a stairwell leading upstairs.

Player can open another one of the escape routes on the course of [[Getting a Passport]] quest, there they have to configure the Control Panel to open Main 02 gate as well as open a flood door on a lower floor of the control room, player may supply it with additional Hand Wheel to be openable from the other side. By doing so, player opens a path to a small cave which further connects with the ventilation shaft and the jail.
* The player can wait out their jail time, and upon completing their time served, the door will unlock and the player can collect their belongings and leave.

* An additional way to escape the prison is by opening a tunnel escape route through the [[Getting a Passport]] quest, by doing the following:
*# Configure the Control Panel to open the "Main 02" Gate.
*# Open the lower flood door located in the lower floor of the control room.
*# With an extra hand wheel, add another wheel to the other side of the same lower flood door.
*# Lockpick open the ventilation shaft door located at the end of the tunnel that connects to the jail.
* Occasionally, as an advantage to the player, the jail guard will take naps and become unresponsive to the player's actions. However, the guard can still be alerted even when asleep by the following conditions:
** If the player is detected by a security camera.
*** To disable the security cameras, the player can disable the fuses next to the jail guard's desk.
** If the player is detected by the alarm system.
*** To disable the alarm system, the player can disable the same fuses next to the jail guard's desk (as mentioned above).

The Jail is a prison located in the Gatehouse within the Residental District Zone, where the player is sent to by the police if the player chooses to commit any crimes.

Getting Arrested[edit | edit source]

  • When the player commits a crime, they will gain a wanted status and begin to be chased down by the police.
  • If the player is caught by the police, they are placed to one of the two cells inside the jail.
