== Overview ==
Obenseuer mixes aspects of survival, exploration and management, presenting a world where player struggles to climb ladders of social structures, from being at rock bottom to living a decent life. Player will struggle with the basics of human survival such as hunger, thirst and wellness of mental health, as well as various different addictions and ways to overcome them.
 
One of the main objectives of the game is to run own tenement building as a landlord, renovate it, find potential tenants and make profit from it. In the meantime, player focus' on producing various goods and completing story quests.
 
The main storyline of the game, set 10 years later, expands upon more mystical subplots of INFRA, exploring deeper the titular district of Obenseuer.
 
==Development==
7 months after the release of Act III of INFRA, on April 24, 2018 a spin-off game titled Open Sewer was announced, focusing on the expanded gameplay mechanics and the setting from INFRA's 9th chapter. The game released into an Early Access on Steam platform on December 12, 2018 and continued receiving update support until June 23, 2019, when a desire to redesign the main level and split it into multiple smaller ones was announced.
 
After halting the game's updates, the community was updated on the progress with screenshots from new and redesigned locations and occasional development posts. For 5 years the game, its design, gameplay mechanics, visuals and levels had been reworked and overhauled to be re-released into an Early Access on November 17, 2023 under a new name, previous owners of the Open Sewer received the overhaul as an update.
